Re-educate yourself to achieve fitness and weight loss. A back 2 basics boot camp is a residential boot camp with various workshops covering nutrition, alcohol and behaviour change programmes. Typically three client types will come to boot camp – non exercisers, people who work out 3 – 4 times a week and runners. The main concept of the boot camp programme is to achieve maximum weight loss and fitness in a controlled environment in seven nights. Fitness training is delivered by exercise professionals who are registered and insured through The Register Of Exercise Professionals. The Personal Trainers are listed on the register at a minimum Level 3 to ensure clients receive quality training. The training is varied comprising: PHA - Peripheral Heart Action Training, HIIT - High Intensity Interval Training, Boxercise - boxing techniques combined with core work, structured walking / hiking, resistance training with weights, kettlebell training, bodyweight circuit training. A full explanation is given prior to doing any of the various training styles as to their benefits. The training is designed to work the three main energy systems of the body, Phosphocreatine, lactic acid and aerobic energy systems. Nutrition advice has been provided by Trinity and All Saints University Lecturer Dr. Lisa Gatenby. The boot camps operate from the Lake District and West Yorkshire.
